Now on view at WONDER Festival 2026 in Kortrijk: Symbiotic Manufacture — A Living Manufacturing Landscape.

Installed in the attic of Groeningestraat 28, Symbiotic Manufacture transforms the space into a living production landscape populated by 3D-printed flowerpots and photosynthetic microorganisms.

Light, moisture, air, microbial activity and care become part of an ongoing material process. The vessels absorb water, respond to their surroundings and gradually mineralise over time. Through a simple care protocol, visitors are invited to slow down, observe and take part in the living process.

Symbiotic Manufacture explores making as open-ended process shaped by humans, microbes, minerals and the environment. Fabrication becomes a process of growth, care, and transformation.
