Larbitslab is an interdisciplinary research practice bridging art, science, and fabrication — based in Brussels and unfolding through long-term international collaborations. Our trajectory moves from digital infrastructures to living infrastructures: from code and networks to microbes, minerals, sunlight, and weather.

Working with living materials, digital fabrication becomes a tool for hosting: shaping ecologies where organisms can settle, mineralise, and re-write matter in slow time. We call this approach symbiotic manufacture — making-with, not making-over.

Larbitslab is a constellation of collaborators across disciplines and geographies — co-developing methods, protocols, and exhibition formats for a climate-responsive material culture, where care is a method and matter is a collaborator.
